Frogatto & Friends, or simply Frogatto, is a platformer game with adventure-elements, created by a team that includes the founder of Wesnoth, and three of Wesnoth's department leads[3], and was first released in July 2010. In Frogatto, the player helps Frogatto save his friends from trouble.
Frogatto & Friends is available without charge for a variety of computer operating systems, and in the iPhone App Store for $0.99.[4] The most current version of the game, 1.2, was released on December 11, 2011.[2]

The game is programmed in C++. It is cross-platform, and runs on Linux (including OS flavors running on Nokia n900 handheld devices), Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, and iOS.
In contrast to their previous project, Battle for Wesnoth, the frogatto team did development as a small, centralized team, with the intention of building a solid engine and a game to showcase that engine, before trying to build a community around the game. Both the source code and the game have been publicly available since r125 of their source repository, but they did not attempt to build a community around the game until after reaching 1.0. It is intended by the developers that the source code of the game be used to help make other open-source games.
